Streatham Hub Nursery
Under Two’s Unit Open!!
Our 33-place day
nursery provides high quality, affordable childcare and education for
children from 3 months to 5 years old. The nursery’s qualified
childcare team
and purpose-built environment ensure that every child develops at their
own pace to develop to their full potential.
Our knowledgeable staff team understand the value of play
and how it helps children to learn. We listen to children, provide play
opportunities, organise materials and equipment, and make suggestions
to extend children’s learning. The role of parents is promoted as that
of an equal partner working together to find the best way forward for
each individual child.

Baby Room
Our new baby room is very homely and cosy with loving nurturing practitioners. It is designed to accommodate 9 babies aged 3 months to 24 months. Each baby is seen as a unique individual with unique individual needs and has a key person who takes care of his/her needs, supporting in play, nurturing, giving a sense of comfort and security. The key person also collaborates with parents and carers to monitor and update them on each baby’s development. It is from this nurtured and secure base that our babies and young children flourish within a calm atmosphere. The adult child ratios for babies are 1 adult: 3 babies. We share information about babies’ well-being with parents and carers on a daily basis. We base our care for babies and young children on their individual needs (we follow babies’ home routines), the wishes of their parents and carers; and on the Revised Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum which is the statutory curriculum for children from 0-5 years old.
We plan and provide activities that meet individual needs and interests of all babies. This includes varied rich natural and sensorial resources to enrich each baby’s experiences. Babies also get opportunities to play outdoors on a daily basis and visit interesting surrounding locality to get a sense of community.
You are welcome to pay us a visit at Streatham Hub Nursery any time between 9.00am-11.00am Monday to Friday.
